The Master’s Degree in Management and Production of Building Materials
The MBM program is a MIP-Politecnico di Milano and Italcementi Group joint initiative responding to the need of creating a managerial development path in order to prepare participants in tackling major responsibilities. With the approval of the competent Faculty at Politecnico di Milano, the program has been accredited as a second level University Master Degree for executives.
Targets and objectives of the program
The MBM is addressed to both graduates starting their career at Italcementi Group and graduates with more seniority. The overall objective of the program is to provide participants with both managerial and technical competencies needed in the building materials industry.
Training path, timing and qualifications
The comprehensive program lasts five to eight years and the training path is divided into three different stages:

LEVEL 1: JET – Junior Employee Training
This course is open to young graduates newly hired at Italcementi Group. It is essentially based on technical training provided by Italcementi. The objective is to enable them to better perform their job acquiring structured and basic core technical know-how on cement industrial operations.
LEVEL 2: PMBM - Program in Management and production of Building Materials
The program consists of two-weeks’ classroom training plus distance learning and elective courses. The objective is to integrate previously acquired professional and practical knowledge with solid managerial competences such as innovation and project management, finance, sustainable development, and human resources management.
LEVEL 3: IMD - International Management Development
The seminar is based on actual projects from the Italcementi Group. Working in teams as internal consultants, participants increase their capacity to manage organizational changes in an international environment.
