With an industrial network of 3 cement plants in Malaga, Añorga (San Sebastian) and Arrigorriaga (Bilbao), 7 Ready mix batching units, 6 quarries and 4 logistic centres, FYM holds the cement market leaderships in the Basque Country and is one of the main producers in Andalusia. In both areas it also holds an important position in the production and commercialisation of concrete and aggregates.

The revamping of the Malaga Plant is the biggest ever investment in Malaga coming from a private source (more than 100 millions euro), and especially designed to meet environmental requirements and implement BAT. The major technical improvement is a production line of 3,300 tonnes of clinker/day. As a result of this, power consumption, dust and gas emissions showed considerably low values. The new facilities have allowed the use of alternative fuels.

The new 45,000-tonne capacity clinker silo in the Añorga Plant, with its modern extractors that remarkably reduce dust emissions, is a recent investment proving Italcementi’s commitment towards environmental sustainability.
