Environment-friendly architecture: The New York Times names TX Active® as Italy's most innovative product in 2007

The New York Times recently praised the innovative value of TX Active®. In a scoreboard published by the magazine of the US daily, TX Active® is named as one of the 70 most innovative ideas of 2007 and is the only product made in Italy to be included. “This year,” says the magazine, “A new weapon against smog was introduced in the United States: cement. Called TX Active®, the product can literally “kill” pollution.”
Rome, Umberto I tunnel finally reopened after coating with TX Active® paint

The restoration project, co-sponsored by the City Council of Rome, Italcementi, and C.I.M., has returned the tunnel to Rome’s community in a completely renovated condition. The tunnel’s interior was coated with CIM’s Cimax Ecosystem Paint, a white cementitious product based on TX Active®, Italcementi’s patented active technology that makes it possible to destroy organic and inorganic airborne pollutants.
