Roman concrete: Historical and engineering analysis

Bergamo, 17 March 2005

On March 17, 2005, Italcementi has hosted, at its headquarters in Bergamo, a scientific meeting on the concrete that was used by Romans to build roads, ports, bridges and aqueducts.

Italcementi, through its Group Technical Centre (CTG), has always been keen on integrating technological innovation with more traditional methods. The meeting will give the opportunity to share experiences and know-how on Roman concrete and on new highly technological mixtures.
