At the Venice Biennale, TX Active^® has been used for coating the “Ellisse” structure, located in the Italian pavilion. Also walls and platforms of both the Giardini and the Arsenale exhibition areas have been covered with TX Active^®. Visitors will have the chance to literally “touch” the quality of this new innovative product developed by Italcementi.

In the framework of the Biennale, Italcementi will also organize a new Millennium Meeting between a famous architect and young people that are studying in that field. This initiative, that began in 1997 with the participation of Alvar Aalto, has now reached its 13th edition. Millennium Meeting has travelled through the worlds of design and poetry with Richard Meier, Eric Miralles, Dominique Perrault, Steven Holl, Raimund Abraham, Nicholas Grimshaw, Mario Botta, Juan Navarro Baldeweg, Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, Frank O. Gehry and recently, Peter Eisenman. The objective is to bring together the technological aspect of cement and the aesthetics dimension that characterizes the works of today’s maestros and of those who will become tomorrow’s architects.
