Italcementi has won the 2006/07 Targa d’Oro Award – Public Relations Section, for its “TX Active^® Costruiamo aria pulita” (building clean air) environmental communication campaign, developed with the Seci PR agency.

TX Active^®, the Italcementi-patented photocatalytic active principle for cement-based materials that combats atmospheric pollutants, was launched on the market in February 2006.
The communication campaign accompanying the launch produced significant image returns and had a high impact in the Italian and international media.

The campaign set out to achieve four goals: to link the environment and industry within a sustainable growth approach (and also re-launch Italian research and innovation); to publicize the industrial-scale availability of an innovative class of highly effective anti-pollution products, patented by an industrial group; to mobilize government and local authorities to improve air quality with the application; to raise the sensitivity of users and manufacturers and promote use of TX Active^® across the construction industry.

The Targa d’oro Award, one of the longest-standing and most prestigious prizes in Italian communications, is promoted by the Mario Bellavista foundation. Now in its XXII edition, the mission of the award is to foster a culture of innovation in communication and stimulate new talent among industry players.
