Italcementi TX Active® reached the top of the Empire State Building in New York City. The world class Skyrunning athlete Daniela Vassalli, wearing the TX Active sport team colors, participated at the 32nd Empire State Building Run-Up in New York City and ranking 2nd among more than 70 international athletes. 
 
Italcementi Group, Daniela’s official sponsor through its new ecological product line TX Active®, has been backing her worldwide for over two years. Daniela Vassalli was the only Italian athlete selected by the race organizers, on the merits of her athletic ability and background (in 2008 she won the Pirelli Building Run Up in Milan). At the New York world famous skyscraper participants had to climb 86 flights (1576 stairs) and ended the race on the Observation Deck.

After winning the skyrunning team world championship in August 2007 with two other worldfamous athletes, Neus Parcerisas (Spain) and Emanuela Brizio (Italy), Daniela has masterfully managed the 2008 competition season, proving her versatility yet again. Her last performance in 2008 was the world famous New York Marathon, where she placed as 2nd Italian in the women’s field.

33 year old Daniela, from Bergamo (Italy) and mother of two children aged 10 and 13, works as a nurse in her hometown. After being inactive in sports for about 16 years, in 2004 Daniela found again her passion for running: today she is one of the best skyrunners on the international circuit. Since 2004, she has participated in numerous skyraces, marathons and half-marathons all over Italy and abroad, proving herself an excellent all-around athlete.
