Two new acknowledgements for Compañia General de Canteras, one of Italcementi Group subsidiaries operating in quarry activities. ANEFA (Spanish Aggregate Producers’ Association) awarded CGC for the recovery plan of the Mijas quarry in Malaga while the quarry of Arcos de la Frontiera, in Cadiz received a prize for its environmental policies.
ANEFA gave already other prizes to the quarries of Los Cejos del Ingles, in Cadiz, and Llano de las Monjas, respectively in 1998 and 2000.
In 2005 the quarry of Teralpe won a prize for safety policies and preservation of its employees’ health.
