Suez Cement , Italcementi Group’s subsidiary in Egypt, announced a cash contribution of $150,000 to support victims of the flash floods that struck the Sinai Peninsula and Upper Egypt last January. This fund will be used immediately for relief and rehabilitation effort.

‘Suez Cement has always supported projects dedicated to the development of local communities in under-privileged areas. Today, our top priority is to help the population living in the areas ravaged by the rainy floods’, commented Roberto Callieri, Managing Director of Suez Cement.

Market leader with an industrial network of five plants and an annual production capacity of around 12 million metric tons of cement, over the past three years Suez Cement has donated more than LE 10 million – more than € 1,3 million – in favour of local community support initiatives.
