Architecture Line: TX Arca
TX Arca cement is specifically designed for the construction of prestigious architectural works. The aesthetic qualities of the final concrete elements, regardless of whether they are prefabricated or cast on site, are enhanced and remain in excellent condition for years. The decomposition of micro-organisms responsible for dirtying façades, the growth of which is promoted by the accumulation of fats, particulate matter and rain, ensures that surfaces remain clean and that the brilliance typical of cements in the TX range stays unchanged.
TX Arca cement was developed in 1996 to realize the strict design specifications set by Richard Meier for his Dives in Misericordia Church project in Rome: purity of white, brilliance and preservation of the final aesthetic qualities over time. Italcementi as the technical sponsor of the project succeeded in meeting all the architect’s requirements using white, photocatalytic cement. Since then TX Arca cement has been the cement for prestigious, architectural works; works in which the quality of the building material and their final appearance are equally important and significant. In addition to ensuring the same physical and mechanical properties as those of traditional concrete, white concrete obtained with TX Arca cement offers extraordinary brilliance and “self-cleaning” properties so that original beauty is retained for years.
TX Arca and TX Aria are registered brands.

The active principle TX Active® was used for the first time in 1996 for the production of the precast blocks that, once in place, would have formed the three imposing sails in the Dives in Misericordia church designed by Richard Meier in Rome. |
