A detailed examination of the full lifecycle of a product, process,system or function (“from cradle to grave”). Taking as an example the case of a manufactured product, a lifecycle analysis involves taking or calculating detailed measurements during the manufacture of the product, from the extraction of the raw materials used in its production and distribution, through to its use, possible reuse or recycling and eventual disposal.
