 Italcementi formalised its natural commitment to the protection of the environment and to social responsibility joining the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 2000.
WBCSD provides a platform for companies to share knowledge, experience and best practices, and to advocate business positions on these issues in a variety of forums, working with governments, non-governmental and intergovernmental organisations.
Italcementi considers business leadership to be a catalyst for change towards sustainability, in particular by promoting the roles of eco-efficiency, innovation and social responsibility.
